The "QUEEN" is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On November 15th 2011 the Queen of Hearts came back to Stephens City and will be here every Tuesday night at 7:00 PM. She is hiding among the other cards on the board. Will you be the Lucky One who finds her??? Tickets are now on sale at the Stephens City Moose Family Center so come on down get your tickets, meet some old and new friends, have a refreshing beverage and possibly win some "MONEY"

I would like to share an experience with you about drinking and driving.

As you well know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from the old social session over the years.

A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers.

Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit, I did something I've never done before -
I took a bus home.

I arrived back safely and without incident which was a real surprise since I had never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got this one.

Greetings! Now is the time to Create Some Interest and sponsor some new members! Jan 1 thru April 30, 2012, the application fee has been waived by Moose International so it will only cost $25 for all new memberships into the Women of the Moose!!! We currently have 213 active members and would like to Welcome our newest members: Rebecca Heflin, Jennifer Haldeman, Robyn Graves and Tracie Dennison to Stephens City Chapter 2134.

Our meetings are held the first and third Wednesday of each month, beginning at 7:00pm. We would love to have you join us and share your ideas and concerns!!

The next District V meeting will be held at the Moose Lodge in Mt. Jackson on January 8, 2012 at 10:00am. We would appreciate having as many women as possible attend this meeting! Normally, we meet for breakfast at our lodge and carpool so if you would like to ride with someone, just give a shout out to one of the officers - we'll get you there!!

Denise and I will be attending the mid-year conference in Norfolk, VA on Jan 13-14, 2012. The conferences are open to all members and they are educational and alot of fun!

Our chapter holds raffles on the first and third Friday and Saturday of each month. The money we raise goes towards meeting our monthly financial obligations, our charitable contributions and also helps keep our membership fees down. We appreciate ALL the support we receive from ALL members.

All required training of the officers has been completed. As the Recorder, I am required to file Profit/Loss Reports, Balance Sheet Reports, Audit Reports, 114s, 166s each month with Moose International. Application and Daily Transmits are done on a recurring basis. IRS Form 990 has to be submitted every September. I also track, file and enter all bills, receipts and deposits of monies through QuickBooks. To date, everything has been completed. In order for our Chapter to receive the Award of Achievement, we need to have 215 members and $1.00 more in our checking account than what we started with on May 1, 2011. While not there yet, we are very close!! Depending on the number of new members sponsored, personal awards will be received as well.
